A stunning pair of English bedside tables with a shelf and cupboard for extra storage. Made of wood with veneer across. Love the streaking in the veneer & those arched handles.
Markers badge on the back, Herbert E. Gibbs. Gibbs trained as a cabinet maker and founded his business, manufacturing furniture, in the 1920s. They were originally based on De Beauvoir Road, London, making these very close to home. I can’t say exactly when these were produced, but I would say between the 30-50s based on its style and handles.
Subtle mark on the top of one bedside, but overall these are in great condition and have stood the test of time.
