LARGE SWEDISH BENCH / DAY BED
A fabulous 19th century large pine bench, sourced from Sweden. The bench has its original dot work paint which adds character against the stumble effect finish on the wood. Made of solid pine, this is heavy and is in great vintage condition considering its age. The piece has a Biedermeier influence, which was a distinctive furniture design movement that emerged in Sweden during the early 19th century.
There are a few marks on the sides, see last few photos. The box seat lifts out and it can be pulled out into a day bed, which would fit a small sized mattress or it could be used as additional storage
This would look fabulous in an entrance way, dining space or to be used in a bedroom for extra storage / as a day bed.
