ART DECO BURL BEDSIDE TABLES
A stunning pair of original Art Deco bedside cabinets, with beautiful burl veneer with swirling grain across. These are a one-of-a-kind piece – excellently well made and great vintage condition considering their age.
Compact in size, the open shelving and enclosed storage makes them both functional and striking as standalone pieces.
Behind the lower door, the interior is lined with ceramic, which were designed to originally to hold a chamber pot before indoor plumbing was introduced. The ceramic lining made the interior easy to clean and maintain, reflecting the piece’s practical purpose and thoughtful design. New latches have been added too.
The cabinets have been very well maintained are in excellent vintage condition. They come with glass tops, as shown in the last photo, with one of the brass clips missing. Very slight chip on the veneer on one beside, see last photo.
