ANTIQUE FRENCH BRASS MILK JUG
A beautifully proportioned vintage polished brass water jug with a rounded body, decorative details. Recently polished, the piece showcases traditional metalworking techniques and timeless craftsmanship. Sourced from France and dates back to the mid 20th century.
Stamped "Cuivres St Aubin 50 Villedieu" on the base, this indicates it was manufactured in Villedieu-les-Poêles, Normandy. This was is a historic centre of copper and brass craftsmanship. "50" is likely a model or pattern number.
This could be used as a decorative object or as a vase. Good vintage condition with a few marks across.
