19TH CENTURY FRENCH ELM SIDEBOARD

A beautiful antique French walnut sideboard influenced by the Louis Philippe period. Known in French as a buffet d’appui, the piece has a wonderfully rich wood grain, with a light patina across. Solid wood, likely elm, and is heavy.

The wood has a beautiful grain running throughout and has some lights marks across, consistent with use.

The piece has two drawers with silver drop handles and two doors with a shelf inside. A timeless piece with plenty of character.

Signs of previous woodworm which has been treated.

Measures D59.9 x W136 x H106cm
